Hi, with several months trail, we are pleased to announce that the UIC Portal (https://portal.uic.edu.cn/) has been formally launched on Sep-20th, 2021.
The interface includes three main functional parts, which are announcement, application and services center. In this system, we have minimized the phase 1 system releasement to make it more convenient for handling and understanding.
Part I: Announcement:
Tasks: A summary of items for your approval or acknowledge
Applications: A summary of the applications you initiated, you can click to view the progress
Email: Indicate the unread mails, you can click to redirect to the mail system
Announcement: Announce important events or notice.
The announcement part target to concentrate most common functions for everyone to manage their duties.
Part II: Application
Simplified migrate the systems from MIS with an additional of several individual system, click the icon will directly go to the main page of each system. We kept the same icons as origins in consideration of users’ habit.
The core purpose of the application is to centralize the existing scattered subsystems introduced by divisions/units; we will gradually optimize each system and interface in-depth with UIC portal, and standardize the interface for the introduced applications.
Part III: Services center
It is an “UIC Portal” that certain processes could be applied paperless. While, some processes could not be 100% applied online due to objective reasons. However, we are communicate with each division/units systematically to enrich the online services gradually. Finally, aims to provide a possible method for improving the efficiency.
The concept of services center is to extract the important services provided to teachers and students, and the system will automatically generate the services data such as response time, service consumed time and user feedback with will provide valuable data support for services optimization.
